Love is something that I don't think I have ever truly experienced before, but I'm sure I will late on in life. So I'm sure you're probably thinking: Why is some 12 year old girl who has never been in love telling us about it? Well, I think it is important to give my opinion about what love is. I think it is not being with someone that you can live with, but being with someone that you don't think you can ever live without. I don't know if other people will agree with me on that but that's part of what I think. I also think that it's someone that you can imagine living the rest of your life with. Not wanting love from anyone but that person. No lies. No secrets. I think that's what love is. Please leave a comment about whether you agree or disagree. If you disagree tell me what you think it is.

Internet Safety
We all love surfing the web. It's what most teenagers dream about. Myspace, facebook, youtube. All of that is just what teens live for. But what about all of the downsides to those websites. No matter what anyone tells you, all websites are in some wasy dangerous. Hundreds of teens are sexually abused just from meating someone on the internet. Talking to people you don't know is not a smart choice. Just try to stay off most of the websites where you talk to people that you don't know. Many sexual predators make fake accounts on these websites and talk to teens. They talk them into giving them information about themselves: where they live, how old they are, their full name, even cell phone numbers. If you are on a website and someone that you don't know starts talking to you, i strongly sugjest that you ignore them and if they keep talking to you block them. If they are talking to you inapropriately then definately block them and tell an adult that you trust. Or on many websites there is a place you can go where you can report abuse. You can do that. Just stay safe on the internet!

Saying Goodbye
Saying goodbye can be one of the hardest thing to do in life. You never wanna say goodbye to friends moving or loved ones dying. It's all incredibly hard to do no matter who it is. But there are ways that you can say goodbye.
If a loved one has died and you are very depressed over it, just pick something that has always calmed you in the passed and do that. Like for instance, whenever I'm upset I like to listen to music because I love music. (You can see that from my other blog, musicforever21.blogspot.com). If music isn't your thing, then do something else. Go for a walk, talk to friends, draw. Anything that keeps your mind off of the things that make you sad. Remember, you wouldn't want to see someone else you love be sad and depressed, so why would other people want to see you sad and depressed. It makes them just as sad as you.
If a really good friend of yours is moving away, it will no doubt make you very sad. So stay in touch with them. Text or talk on the with them as much as possible so that you don't grow apart, because as you know that can happen. Also, if the person didn't move far then try to get together with them. Go to the mall, go to a movie, go have lunch. Anything to spend time with them. However I know that can be a problem depending on how they move. I hope you will take time to read this because I think it will help. Thank you!

Future Careers... Think About It!
What do you want to be when you get older? There are so many different choices to chose from for a future career. I want to be a marine biologist. A marine biologist is a person that dives deep into the ocean to search for new creatures or new plants, anything that no one has seen before. It's a high paying job, but for me that really isn't what matters. I just want to do something that I would enjoy doing for the rest of my life. I did some research on marine biology and it says that most of the colleges that are good for are most on the east coast. It takes about 5 years of college to get to be a marine biologist. Now, if you are interested in something different, like my best friend Summer wants to become a doctor. She wants to do that because she thinks it is something that she would enjoy. She also got inspired to become a doctor when her grandmother, whom she loves dearly, was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Now Summer is determined. She knows how hard it is, how long college is for it, and how devoted she has to be to it, but that's just part of growing up. I think she will do well in her career, mostly because she is picking something that she wants to do, and I think that is the most important thing.

School
Okay, so a lot of people don't like school... I'm one of those people. I think that it is good that we have school and everything but it just wastes to much of our time and it takes us away from our friends. And I think that students should be able to pick who they wanna be with in each class. I mean because what if you are with all of the people that don't like you and always make fun of you?... That would suck. And if you didn't like the teacher then that would make it even worse. I think that they should make the school day shorter and just take more of our summer. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks that way but I think that would make it easier for everyone.

Cosmetic Animal Testing
Cosmetic animal testing is when scientists use animals to test makeup products on animals to see the reaction so they can predict what a humans reaction will be so that they can make it safe to use for humans. My opinion on this subject is that I think it is bad. They use the helpless animals to test things on, but most of the animals they use die from the testing. The animals are kept in tiny cages and aren't ever let out unless they are being tested. No animal deserves to live like that. Granted, there are pros to cosmetic animal testing such as it makes products safe to use, but it also costs a lot of money and it is done very often. The number of animals being tested has rapidly increased since 1968. If you agree that cosmetic animal testing is bad I encourage you to follow this blog
